• Omnitrope (somatropin) is a biosimilar form of human growth hormone produced by recombinant DNA technology. It is prescribed for pediatric patients with growth failure due to inadequate secretion of endogenous growth hormone, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, small for gestational age without catch-up growth, and idiopathic short stature. In adults, Omnitrope is used to treat growth hormone deficiency that may result from pituitary disease, hypothalamic disease, surgery, radiation therapy, or trauma.
  It works by stimulating skeletal growth, cell reproduction, and metabolism, thereby improving height in children and maintaining healthy body composition in adults. Omnitrope is administered by subcutaneous injection and requires monitoring by a healthcare professional for dose adjustment and safety.
