• Tezspire (tezepelumab-ekko) is a biologic medication designed for the treatment of severe asthma in patients aged 12 years and older who remain uncontrolled despite standard therapies such as high-dose inhaled corticosteroids and additional maintenance treatments.

  Tezspire is a monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), an upstream cytokine that plays a central role in the initiation and persistence of airway inflammation. By inhibiting TSLP, Tezspire helps reduce inflammation in the lungs and decrease the frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations, regardless of specific inflammatory phenotype (such as eosinophilic or allergic asthma).

  It is administered as a subcutaneous injection once every 4 weeks and is intended for use alongside other asthma control medications, not as a rescue treatment for sudden breathing problems.
